Blogger was first developed by Pyra Labs and it is acquired by Google in 2003.Google further redesigned this site with more options. It was the free service website on that time. However wordpress turned back the norms of blogging by offering more features.

Wordpress will definitely overcome Blogger in the blogging market. Blogger has options that are concerned more on the appearance of the blog rather than content entry and retrieval. Wordpress had remarks that it doesn’t have the facility of sidebar as blogger provides it for long period. In proving their ability it came out with excellent sidebar in its latest version. This sidebar is recommended as very user friendly option for the bloggers.

User can track their older posts along with comments in wordpress as it gives the option of archiving. Further from viewing the post user can take back of their posts and comments by using the import function.

The only considerable disadvantage is the not availability of multiple blogs on one account. This facility is only given by blogger. Wordpress was ranked down because of its older version. But its recently hosted edition made wordpress to move up the rank over blogger.
